Nelson Airport has a range of facilities and services to help make your visit easier. If you need extra assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our customer service team. You can find them at the help desk next to Sublime Coffee in the terminal, or email or phone in advance. The maps on this page show where to find lifts, accessible bathrooms and mobility parking spaces.

Dedicated mobility parking spaces can be found in the Main Carpark, in the areas closest to the terminal and behind the Rental Car building. There are also mobility spaces in our Long Stay Carpark. Please contact our customer service team if you require assistance getting from your vehicle to the terminal.

For anyone with needs requiring closer pick-up and drop-off access to the terminal, including older citizens and those who are pregnant or travelling with babies. The priority parking spaces are clearly marked in the Pick Up Drop Off lane. Vehicles in this lane must remain attended at all times.

Wheelchairs are available for passengers from all airlines. Just ask airline staff when checking in, or one of our Customer Service staff, and they will be more than happy to help.

Nelson Airport is part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme supporting people with disabilities that may not be so obvious to the casual observer. You can choose to wear a lanyard bearing a sunflower logo as a subtle way of letting others know that they may require additional support, assistance or a bit more time. You can pick up a sunflower lanyard at the Customer Service desk in the terminal.
