Nelson Airport is proud to support Nelson Tasman Hospice through the annual Nelson Airport Trees of Remembrance event. Hospice lights up the terminal from late November through to early January with Christmas trees sponsored and decorated by local businesses.
Dame Suzie Moncrieff is our celebrity judge, choosing the “Overall” winner from the decorated trees, while the public is invited to vote for the People’s Choice. Young people visiting the terminal can join in the fun too by trying to find the special decorations in our Great Bauble Hunt, with great prizes up for grabs.
Nelson Tasman Hospice provides free specialist palliative care services for people of all ages with all life-limiting illnesses, supporting them, their whānau, through illness, death, and bereavement. Its care is available throughout the Nelson Tasman region and it provides care for around 210 people each month. Hospice could not continue to provide free services throughout our region without the generosity and support of the community that it cares for.
